The InvaCulture project
The project “Harnessing iEcology and culturomics to advance invasion science” is implemented jointly by two institutions within the Czech Academy of Sciences – Biology Centre (BC CAS), Institute of Hydrobiology (HBU) in České Budějovice, and Institute of Botany (IBOT) in Průhonice. The project is implemented during 2023-2025, and funded by Czech Science Foundation. Using approaches of iEcology and conservation culturomics the project will collect large bodies of digital data about invasive alien species of Union Concern and develop an IAS introduction model to test the impact of biological, socioeconomic and cultural factors on invasion process.
